  • Psoriasis

  • Hives

The major causes of hives are airborne allergens and insect bites. Hives induce red and itchy skin welts, commonly referred to as urticaria. Moreover, some bacterial infections and extreme temperature changes cause hives.

Depending upon the causes, the dermatologist prescribes suitable skin rashes treatment for the patient. The common treatments include:

  • Anti-Inflammatory Creams

Cortisone has a healing property against the itching and inflammation from the rashes. It’s a type of hydrocortisone cream. Patients can apply it directly to their skin. 

  • Allergy Medications

Oral antihistamines cure the itching, swelling, and other symptoms of skin rashes.

  • Immunosuppressants

This treatment helps to reduce the reaction of eczema and other rashes caused by immune disorders. It gives relief from the inflammation.

  • Topical Immunomodulators

These ointments modulate the immune system’s response to the allergens. They can cure dry and scaly patches of the skin due to eczema. For example, doctors can prescribe pimecrolimus skin cream and tacrolimus ointment. 

  • Oral Steroids

In case of complex skin rash symptoms, doctors may prescribe an oral steroid such as prednisone. These steroid medications reduce itchiness and severe inflammation.

  • Colloidal Oatmeal Bath

A colloidal oatmeal bath with warm water can offer healing from itchy skin rashes. Individuals can buy oatmeal bath products from the local drugstore.

Furthermore, one can use skin rash home remedies for treating the rashes. The remedies are:

  • Baking Soda

It has an anti-inflammatory property and solves the pH imbalance issues. One can use it as a paste or directly within the bathing water. To make the paste, one can use 4 tbsp. of baking soda with 12 tbsp. of distilled water. Then, they have to apply it to the area of rashes. After 10 minutes, they should rinse the paste with cold water. 

For the baking soda bath, the individual should use 1 cup of baking soda in the lukewarm water. Then soak it to the full body and leave it for 15 minutes. Finally, rinse it with lukewarm water.

  • Plants And Herbs

Aloe Vera: The Aloe Vera gel can treat atopic dermatitis and other skin rashes.

Persimmon Leaf Extract: It has a healing effect on atopic dermatitis.

Konjac Ceramide: Taking the oral solution of this plant can improve skin rashes and remove allergies from the children.

Rumex Japonicus Houtt: It can be used as an alternate therapy for atopic dermatitis.
